Augusta Jazz Fest founder and visionary Tim Kampen is a contemporary cellist who performs internationally and was born and currently resides in Augusta, MO.
He has performed at the Clazz International Music Festival in Toscana, Italy, with the Hollywood Film Music Orchestra in Nanjing, China, and on the 2016 Barrage 8 North American Tour.

Collaborated with Grammy-winning artists such as violinists Zach Brock and Roy "Futureman" Wooten, as well as Christian Howes, Tracy Silverman, and Billy Contreras. He is now innovating the "Cellola," a cello tuned lower to take on the role of upright bass.

The Ruckus: Soul, Funk, and High-Energy Groove
Emerging from the University of Michigan, The Ruckus is an electrifying soul and funk ensemble known for blending deep musical traditions with a fresh, vivacious energy. Driven by a powerful horn section, tight rhythms, and dynamic vocals, the band creates a "clear and exciting" sound that has captivated audiences across the Midwest and East Coast.​
